The objective of Cavanaugh Capital Management's
(CCM) Core Fixed Income Composite is to generate total return
in excess of intermediate indices but with a lower risk profile
as measured by volatility, credit quality and interest rate
risk.
CCM’s Core Fixed Income Composite includes accounts
with target durations between four and seven, where a minimum
of 90% of each account is invested in taxable securities.
Each account within the composite must be fully discretionary
and fee-paying, with 100% of the account’s holdings
invested in U.S. dollar denominated securities. A minimum
of 80% of the securities in each Core portfolio will have
credit quality ratings of A or better. However, in practice,
less than 5% of the securities in each Core portfolio are
rated lower than A.
