James
T. Cavanaugh III began his career as a bond analyst at
Alex. Brown & Sons in 1961. As a partner, he formed the
firm’s public finance department in 1971 and remained
its head until retirement in 1990. James
M. Dugan, CFA, began his investment career as a bond analyst
at USF&G for tax-exempt and taxable bond portfolios. In
1987, he was named Senior Investment Officer with responsibility
for trading and managing over $1 billion in municipal securities.
Over the past four decades, Jim Cavanaugh and Jim Dugan have
built a wealth of knowledge in public finance arena, and they
have successfully shared this expertise with the Cavanaugh
Capital Management (CCM) team. As a result, CCM is able to
effectively provide advice to clients on those financial issues
that are central to successful operation of public authorities.
