Stephen M. Shutz, CFA

Steve Shutz is a Vice President and serves as Assistant Portfolio Manager of CCM. His responsibilities include research, trading of tax-exempt securities, and portfolio analytics. He is also a member of the firm's investment committee. He joined CCM in 2003.

Prior to joining CCM, Shutz spent five years at Merrill Lynch as a portfolio and research analyst for a U.S. private client group in Baltimore. Shutz began his investment career at Legg Mason in 1996 assisting brokers in marketing that firm's proprietary funds.

Shutz graduated from Frostburg State University in 1995 with a BS in Economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, as well as a member of the CFA Institute and the Baltimore Security Analysts Society. Shutz serves as Vice President and board member for the Municipal Bond Club of Maryland.
