James M. Dugan, CFA
Jim Dugan is President and a principal stockholder of Cavanaugh Capital Management (CCM). He is the Chief Investment Officer and directs all portfolio management and research for the firm. He is chairman of the firm's investment committee.
Before joining CCM in 1992, Dugan was a Senior Investment Officer for USF&G in Baltimore where he managed that firm’s municipal bond portfolio as well as portfolios for Capital Re, Capital Guaranty, and Axe-Houghton. Overall, he has twenty-three years of fixed income experience as a portfolio manager, analyst, and trader.
Dugan received a BA in Business Administration from Loyola College in Maryland in 1979 and an MBA from the same institution in 1985. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, as well as a member of the CFA Institute, the Baltimore Security Analysts Society, and the Municipal Bond Club of Baltimore. Dugan serves as a board member of the Cavanaugh Financial Group Charitable Foundation and James T. Cavanaugh & Associates, Inc., as well as an advisor to the Mother Seton Academy and the Conference of Major Superiors of Men. Dugan also serves on the Development Committee for Mount St. Agnes Theological Center for Women in Baltimore, MD. |
